Minevra Swift was the daughter of Ves and Lan Swift, the founders of the DarKota Arcology. She was born August 8, 2186. She built the MORGAN personality and evolved her from a simple artificial intelligence program to an artificially intelligent municipal management network when she was 23, to help her parents manage DarKota.

Min is also the mother of Polaris Zhang, born August 25, 2216. During the Slaughter, Min put the Arcology on complete lockdown, sealing in the population of DarKota. This included shutting her own parents out. In making this difficult decision, Min ensured the safety of 1556 people.

A few years after the Slaughter, during the spring resource run, Minevra built the most efficient team she could to do a filament run. Of the excellent people on her team, only two made it back home. In addition to losing Min on the run, the Arcology lost a brilliant defense strategist, Marine Corps Veteran Sif Hansen, a filament tech specialist named Bahir Mustafa, former ER doctor Dr. Pablo Campos, and David Zhang, Min’s husband and Polaris’s father who refused to remain behind while his wife went beyond the wall. Known as “The Lost Five” - these men and women were the catalysts in developing the Filament and Resource Retriever System, FRRS. This system, run every 6 months, is commonly referred to at the Lottery.
